In the beginning is the shredder

For use in plastic recycling plants, the demand for powerful shredders has grown. Especially those that can process entire bales at the beginning of the reprocessing chain. Modern washing plants in particular, such as produced by Herbold Meckesheim, require sophisticated shredder technology to be able to process high throughputs and challenging feed materials. Herbold Meckesheim is satisfied with its results after IFAT 2022 in Munich. Despite the current economic uncertainties, the special machine builder has recorded a constant number of incoming orders. After many negotiations, the projects are now seen to get reality – almost 60 percent of these projects are located outside Germany.

Herbold Meckesheim has settled its succession: The German engineering company announced it would become part of the Coperion Group, headquartered in Stuttgart. Coperion, in turn, belongs to Hillenbrand Inc, a global industrial group headquartered in Batesville, Indiana, USA.

Company founded with Herbold machines

It is the largest single-line recycling plant that Herbold Meckesheim has set up to date: In Düzce, Turkey, a PET washing plant designed for the Futurapet company and built last year has now gone into operation. Futurapet is a spin-off of the consumer goods corporation Engin Group and based in Istanbul.

Round and round

Herbold Meckesheim is thoroughly satisfied with the results of K 2022. The fact that the leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry focused on the circular economy naturally played into the order books of the manufacturer of recycling systems and machines. In addition, Herbold Meckesheim has formed together with the Stuttgart-based machine manufacturer Coperion a new Recycling Business Unit in October, which offers complete solutions for plastics processing, as it continues to develop. This has been received with great interest by the market.

Deux lignes de lavage pour SUEZ

Herbold Meckesheim a scellé une commande importante pour le recyclage des films post-consommation directement sur le salon K 2022 : Olivier Vilcot, directeur général de la division Plastics Recycling de SUEZ, et Werner Herbold, directeur de l’entreprise du même nom, ont signé un contrat pour l’installation de deux lignes de lavage sur le stand du constructeur de machines de Meckesheim. Les deux lignes de recyclage seront installées à Landemont, entre Angers et Nantes, dans l’ouest de la France.
